Come down and help celebrate the natural and cultural values of the Leschenault Estuary with the organisations working to protect it. Enjoy a variety of workshops, presentations, food trucks, music, art and much more!

Birdlife Australia's Great Cocky Count
Sunday, 12th April, 5.15pm - 6.45pm, South-western Western Australia
The Great Cocky Count is a citizen-science survey, and the biggest single survey for black-cockatoos in WA.
On one evening each autumn, volunteers monitor known roost sites and count black-cockatoos as they arrive in the evening.
Records submitted provide a snapshot of black-cockatoo populations, helping quantify changes in their numbers.
Registrations close 22 March.

Ringtail Tally
Tally dates: 1st April - 2nd May 2026
Join the Annual Ringtail Tally and help protect western ringtail possums. This exciting citizen science opportunity invites community members of all ages to contribute to the conservation of critically endangered possums by gathering data that supports long-term conservation efforts.

A festival is only as good as its people! As part of our planning we are inviting Expressions of Interest from volunteers interested in helping out for an hour or two on the day.

Calling all Junior Artists! Get creative with this year’s Junior Art theme - Love the Lesch: Protecting the Leschenault Estuary!
Join in by creating an artwork that celebrates and protects our Leschenault Estuary - its wildlife, waterways and wonder.
Exhibition open to artists aged 4-16. Artworks displayed at Love the Lesch Fest Sunday 3rd May 2026.
