Volunteer EOI Form

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Love the Lesch Festival on Sunday 3rd May at Ridley Place Foreshore in Australind! EOI’s are open until 12th April. If you would prefer a hard copy of the EOI form please email rachel.allan@leschenaultcc.org.au


Volunteer Role Descriptions

  • Festival Rover: Monitor periphery to ensure no smoking/alcohol/unsocial behaviour. Ensure all stallholders are happy and relay any concerns to event coordinators. Check toilets to ensure they are maintained throughout event.

  • Tour Rover: Assist in taking attendance prior to ticketed tours. Join tours to provide assistance to guides, take photos where required and ensure attendees remain with the groups. Volunteers assisting on priced activities will not be charged.

  • Mascot: There will be three mascots attending to interact with community members, take photos and partake in short activities. Mascots are to respectfully interact with members of the community and remain in character for the duration of wearing the costume. Mascots cannot talk. Must have a current Working With Children Check.

  • First Aider: Attend scenes requiring first aid assistance. Provide First Aid to level of training (current first aid certificate required). Remain at the first aid tent whilst not attending a scene.

  • Activity Assistant: There will be a variety of activities that will require additional assistance over the course of the day including art projects, bee hotels and scat activities. Your role will be to provide assistance to the activity operator as directed.


Terms and Conditions.

A number of potential hazards have been identified for the event. You will be sent the risk assessment which outlines these hazards and the steps or controls that are to be taken to minimise the threat to yourself, other people, and the environment.

By submitting the EOI form above you agree to comply with the following terms that refer to my participation in all projects and activities:

1) I have notified the Event Coordinator of any relevant medical conditions and pre-existing injuries, and I consent to the Project Coordinator or Team Leader rendering or authorising such medical treatment as necessary and accept responsibility for all associated expenses.

2) I have read the attached risk assessment and am aware of the risks and safety procedures to follow as part of this project.

3) I am a volunteer and not an employee of the Leschenault Catchment Council.

4) I will not smoke, consume or store alcohol or illicit drugs while working at the event.

5) I shall respect the rights, feelings and property of all others associated with the event.

6) I shall cooperate with the Event Coordinator to ensure a safe, happy and hygienic team environment.

7) I give my consent for photos of me taken during the project to be used for promotion by the Leschenault Catchment Council.

8) I will notify the Event Coordinator if I need to leave the site early.

9) I understand that failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in the Event Coordinator requesting me to leave.
