Junior Art Competition
Calling all Junior artists!
Get creative with this year’s Junior Art theme - Love the Lesch: Protecting the Leschenault Estuary!
We Love the Lesch, it’s life, it’s glowWhere dolphins play and wetlands growThrough art, let’s show what we can do -To keep it wild and thriving too!
Join in by creating an artwork that celebrates and protects our Leschenault Estuary - its wildlife, waterways and wonder. Show how we can all take action to care for this special place we call home.
Artwork can be a painting, sketch, sculpture, 3D artwork or collage.
Prizes: Two winners in each category will each receive a $50 visa card and prize pack!
Presentation of prizes will be at 1.30PM on Sunday 3rd May at the main tent.
To Enter: Entry is free and open to artists aged 4 to 16, in the following categories: Under 10s and 10+
Selected finalists will be displayed and winners voted for by community at the Love the Lesch Festival on Sunday 3rd May.
Complete the entry form by Monday 13th April (unless your teacher is arranging entry).
For teachers who would like to submit students artwork in bulk, there is no need to fill out the form - just contact us to arrange a bulk submission.
Entries Close: Monday 13th April
Deliver your artwork: To the Leschenault Catchment Council Office, 7 Oakley Street, South Bunbury. During office open hours, 9am - 5pm, Monday - Thursday.
Collect your artwork: At the end of the festival or by prior arrangement. All finalists will be notified of their selection prior to the festival.
Criteria: Due to display restrictions, artworks must be unframed/no glass, and no larger than A1 size. Both paper and canvas artworks permitted, (please note we may attach velcro or tape to the back of entries in order to hang on display boards). 3D artwork needs to be stable for display, and not sharp or hazardous in any way.
