Get your hands dirty and join our community planting days!
It’s that time of year again – the gloves are on, the seedlings are ready, and all we need is YOU!
This revegetation season, the Leschenault Catchment Council are inviting locals of all ages to roll up their sleeves, dig in, and help bring more native plants back to our beautiful region. Whether you're a seasoned green thumb or just keen to get outdoors and do something good, community planting days are the perfect way to get involved, meet like-minded people, and make a real difference for the environment.
Why native plants? Katrina Zeehandelaar-Adams, LCC’s Biodiversity Program Manager said, “Native vegetation plays a vital role in supporting local biodiversity – from providing homes for birds and insects to helping stabilise our soils and improving water quality. Every plant in the ground brings us one step closer to a healthier ecosystem.”
And let’s be real – the environment needs us. Volunteers like you are the heart and soul of community conservation, and we simply can’t do it without your help!
