The Leschenault Catchment Council would like to acknowledge the Wadandi, Kaniyang, Pindjarup and Wiilman People as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We strive to support Traditional Owners and learn from Indigenous knowledge and wisdom in caring for the land.

OUR VISION
The Leschenault Catchment Council (LCC) is an independent, community based, not-for-profit organisation, committed to the long-term environmental protection and enhancement of the Leschenault Catchment in the southwest of Western Australia.
Our vision is for ‘a healthy, biodiverse and climate resilient natural environment and a sustainable future for people and culture.’

The Annual Ringtail Tally is back! Join our fantastic citizen science program and help protect the critically endangered western ringtail possum from your own backyard!
All completed data sheets go into the draw to WIN a beautiful handcrafted possum box!

31st May, 6pm-8pm, Bunbury Big Swamp
Design your own frog-friendly garden and join us for a night walk at the Bunbury Big Swamp!
Hear from Mike and Mandy Bamford about local native frog species and how you can help protect them, followed by a guided night walk around the swamp looking for native frogs.

Funding available for Landowners
Funding is available for landowners to assist with fencing waterways to exclude stock and planting native revegetation to kickstart a healthy stream ecosystem.
As part of this program there are also incentives for soil testing to support fertiliser management decisions.
